Looking at the live-feed backstage pre-show, Cristina asks, “are those all people?” Five minutes later it’s time to go — no one could find Cristina — oh no! She was already in the audience ready for the girls to come out, phew! We had an amazing turn out, which compacted the audience a little and impaired their vision, we apologize immensely, no worries next season is seated. We would love to give a big thank you to everyone who supported or were involved in the production of the show.

Rehearsal consisted of setting up the collection on the back wall, ready for the 2-D exhibition, as well as a catwalk rehearsal for the models and Cristina. At this point, everything was finally coming together and was exhilarating time for the whole team.

Premier, Models1, Elite and Storm provided our models. Their fun spirits and fresh faces made the day a lot easier and it was an absolute pleasure to work with each of them. Bopping around in their bodysuits all day, we hope they enjoyed the day as much as we did!

The use of three white walls encompassing both the runway and a small black-box in the middle of the room was used to create an intimate and strong gallery presence. Set designer, Rob Drugan, attached steel sheeting to the back wall frames to make it magnetic, allowing the pieces to hang gracefully on the wall for the exhibition component of the show.
The catwalk was kept at ground level, creating a more intimate experience for the audience and a fluidity to the space.

Each model was styled by Cristina herself earlier in the day as it was important to establish a clear and fluid order to the collection and let the models get a feel for the elegant motions.

Over the next few days we are highlighting backstage moments of our Spring/Summer 2012 show from the lens of photographer Lynsie Roberts.
The hair was styled by Kirsty Martin and with the help of her great team from Electric Hair Studio. Sponsored by L’Oreal Professional, she went for a clean, slick back look with a braid detailed bun to compliment the elegant lines of the collection.
The makeup was created by Maria Papadopoulou and her team from AOFMakeup. Sponsored by Makeup Forever, Maria was inspired by the 3-dimensional aspects of the collection creating a fresh face with shine highlights, an untamed brow and a three dimensional lip in reverse that draws you in.
And lastly, nails by Lee Moore from OPI who went for a matte nude look. Models wore Tickle my France-y with Matte Nail Envy as a top coat.

Fashion week may have moved onto Milan but the work still continues. We’ve been receiving some great press already and couldn’t be happier. Right now we are focusing on sending out the lookbook packages to buyers. With Paris Fashion Week creeping up, Cristina is prepping for the trip and feeling out some options, and of course excited to go back.
We rounded off LFW last night with A Child of the Jago show at Wiltons Music Hall (amazing venue!). Known for their cool boy, street style menswear, Armitage and Corre combined their menswear show with their first womenswear line. With a rock n’ roll heritage and underground appeal, this show certainly showed us a good time. Who were we wearing? Cristina Sabaiduc of course!
The show is over-phew! After weeks of gruelling hours and late nights, the show finally was here and with a full house we presented Spring Summer 2012. We couldn’t be more pleased with the turn-out and the look of the show. We would like to thank everybody that was involved in the production of the show. Specifically, Nikki Sheldon our show producer and Sei Moon, Maria Papadopoulou our makeup artist and the rest of the AOFM team, Kirsty Martin from Electric Hair studio and especially The Hospital Club for hosting us!
